Employment KITAS

Work permit and residency through employment in Indonesia.

Employment KITAS

To work legally in Indonesia and receive a salary, foreign nationals must obtain a Limited Stay Permit (KITAS) combined with a Work Permit (formerly IMTA, now integrated into the RPTKA notification). The Employment KITAS is linked directly to a sponsoring company in Indonesia.

This visa is valid for 6 months to 1 year (depending on the job role) and allows for multiple entries into the country. It also entitles the holder to open local bank accounts, obtain a driver's license, and register for local health insurance (BPJS).

Key Process Steps:

  1. RPTKA Approval: The company must submit a Foreign Manpower Utilization Plan (RPTKA) to the Ministry of Manpower.
  2. Notification Pay: Payment of the DPKK (Skill & Development Fund) levy (USD 100/month).
  3. E-Visa Issuance: The visa is issued electronically, allowing entry.
  4. KITAS Issuance: Upon arrival, biometrics are taken, and the KITAS is issued.

We manage the entire lifecycle of the Employment KITAS, from RPTKA submission to the final KITAS issuance. We also assist with dependent visas for family members joining the main working visa holder.
